This bum bag is handcrafted recycling the precious textile of an antique Japanese kuro tomesode, black kimono decorated with auspicious patterns.

The tomesode is the equivalent of an evening gown in the western closet. It is worn for celebrations and special events.

The hand-painted motif represents a moorhen floating amoung a river surrounded by chrysanthemums (kiku). The motif is created by applying pigments and gold leaves by hand on the silk.

The back of the bag is made in a light resistand 3D mesh which allow the bag to take minimum space when not full, and perfectly fit against your body.

The adjustable strap allows you to wear it as a bum bag or a cross body bag.

  • Front : antique Japanese obi belt 80%, silk 20% washi paper, gold hints

  • Back : resistant 3D mesh polyester & nylon mix

  • Gold waterproof zipper

  • Adjustable nylon strap
