Vintage Kimono Clutch - Clover

This clutch is made with the silk of a vintage kimono.
Recycling kimono textiles into bags and other small accessories seems very popular nowadays but it is not a new trend. It was always common for kimono owners to turn them into accessories once their family kimono are worn out or if an inherited kimono is not worn anymore. Weavers and sewers knew that the effort they put into their creation was meant to survive through generations.
The motif represents Japanese Clover, commonly used as a kimono motif to be worn during the end of summer/ beginning of Autumn.
Opens and closes with a snap button.
Condition
Used, in good condition. No noticeable damage. Small stains on the inner fabric (see last photo).
